Would a USAT Billboard Reefer Catalog Interest Readers?
Posted by EMD Trainman on Saturday, July 4, 2015 10:40 AM

Hi to All,

Please let me introduce myself. My name is Shawn and I am the founder of the USAT G Scale Group which is pretty popular on Facebook. I have spent since 2007 cataloging and documenting USA Trains products. I started the USAT G Scale Group in 2013 which is a informational place for USA Trains products.

Currently I have the rights to igh resolution photos of every USA Trains American Series reefer ever made since 1991. I also have documented production years for them.

My question is would there be interest in a idea of creating a catalog book called "A Guide to Collecting USA Trains Billboard Reefers". There are around 500 photos and with 24 photos per page (12 photos on each side of the page) roughly would make it about a 26 page book. This would sorta be like a Greenburg's Collectors Guide. I have been pondering this idea for about 2 years but not sure if there is enough demand for one and second I can't do it on my own and figured maybe perhaps Garden Railways would have a interest in producing such a book as partners perhaps.

Thanx for any constructive input

Shawn

Shawn,

I'd suggest calling our Books department and follow that up with a simple proposal. The person who works on model railroading books is Randy Rehberg, rrehberg@kalmbach.com. The general phone number is 262-796-8776, and ask for him.
