Thanks for the reading material. It is comming in handy.
Guys:
Son in law made it sound worse than it was. Small heart attack, The two by-pass's was planned 3 weeks ago for next week, just happened sooner than we thought. They pinned and stapled the hip back together so I'll be in traction for 16 days. 5 pound weight over end of the bed tied to left foot.
Otherwise I'm fine, now.

I add our thanks for the update. Please tell your Dad we capped our tunnels with slabs and hollow-tile core in his honor today. No kids were glued to the track in the process!
Thanks for the update. Hope everything goes well with the surgery.
Dad is doing well enough that he was moved out of ICU to a semi private room today. I got a stern talking to by his doctor for not obeying the "No Cell Phone" sign on the door. Seems as though the tablet was interfering with that little clip on his finger to monitor oxygen level in his blood. His new room has no wifi, but does have hard wired internet. Doc says he can have his laptop for 2 hours per day. His hip and leg surgery is scheduled for 6:00am Friday.
Braille.
Have fun with your trains
Please let Tom know we received his compliment, and that our "ohana" (family) will keep him and your family in our prayers as he recovers!
Aloha,
I'm sorry this happened, but glad he is stable and getting good care. Best wishes from the Garden Railways staff.

I hope you get better soon Tom!
Thanks for letting us know, Braille. Prayers and best wishes for Tom's speedy recovery!
My name is Braille, Tom's son-in-law. On Saturday dad was out riding his Segway and had a hart attack and crashed the Segway. This morning the doctors did a double by-pass and he seems to be doing well. If his condition continues to improve the doctors are looking at doing surgery on Friday to repair his left hip and leg which he broke in the crash. Yesterday I brought his tablet so he could see what was hapening here. He was too weak to do much more than look at the pictures as we read the postings to him. He wanted me to tell "Pvt K" a job well done on his tunnels.
