If you're on this forum you are a star. Paint yourself whatever colour you want.

Not to my knowllage, but yet I am new here. On another forum we have "Benifets" for those who are paying members. ie. web space for storeage, special wholesale prices thru a dealer, and free classified ads. I didn't know myself if there was a special paying membership availible here to do the same. I thought maybe the stars were an indicator [8)]

Rocky
Here on the GR forum and on the Trains Magazine forum its never been a problem, however over on the Model RR forum there have been some grumblings, but only a small percentage gripe about it.

This is a free service forum, so no pay/non-pay issues...Of course you cant post photos unless you have somewhere else to store and post a link, then it works. Thats one of the prime reason I'm also over at MLS, so I can post photos...

Thanks Vic [:)]
I guess that makes sense. I didn't know if the color was like the "Class" of membership - ie. paying or non-paying. I see there is a post count listed here too. Hope that it won't become an "issue" with some folks [:I][;)][:)]

Rocky

Its the same as it was at MLS before the post numbers were erased, its based purely on number of posts.
50= 1 purple star
100=2 blue stars
500=3 green stars
1000=4 gold stars
2000=5 red stars

I have 5 only because I have been here for a longer time and am active on many of the other forums as well, its accumulative across all the forums.
Later, Vic

What's with the stars ???
Posted by Anonymous on Wednesday, November 3, 2004 8:47 AM
I see most folks have stars by their names. I know that I'm new and don't have any which is understandable, but I noted that there are different colors of the stars and wondered what that ment. I'm sure the number of stars goes with how many posts you've made. Can someone fill me in about this ??? Thanks, Rock [^]
