Trees, well, I kinda grow my own, well, not really. I model outdoors so I buy them(small) at Lowes, plant them and they grow [:)] I just wish I could get Mini Alberta Spruce trees down here. No one carries them due to our hot weather here in Hurricane land [:(]

Well most of your country got the man they wanted. Now all we have to do in the UK is vote in somebody who won`t invite him over here. Mind you, after the last welcome he got, we are probably off his christmas card list anyway.

Yes we over here on the other side of the big pond are also interested in the results of the election.

But of much more interest here was the running of the Melbourne Cup a 3200 m horse race (yes even horse racing has gone metric as well) the whole country stops for the 2.30 race, first tuesday in November. I lost $110 but I won $250 last year so I guess you cant win them all.

Rgds Ian

Voting in Australia is compulsory so we don't have any big variation in turnout numbers.

Gonna pop a few dvd's into the player tonight and try to keep myself from getting all stressed out tonight, so its Blazing Saddles first, and we'll see who wins probably not till tomarrow[:0]

I think a great triple feature for tonight would be Mr Smith Goes to Washington (not you Vic, Jimmy Stewart). The Distinguished Gentleman, with Eddie Murphy, and My Fellow Americans with James Garner and Jack Lemmon.

Been there done that.

It took me longer to fill in all the uncontested judges races than anything else. There was no line, but I live in the semi-boonies. If there was going to be a line, it would be between 4 and 6 PM catching people coming home from work. We have a very hot congressional race here.

That's interesting Ian. I didn't know our election was that talked about. Let's hope that once the polls close the winners will be obvious. I think a lot of us are concerned we may run into recount and fraud problems.

Good luck to you folks. I hope you get the right man. I cannot remember the last time we from across the pond took such an interest in the outcome of your elections.

I start work at 7am , so I wont be at the polls till almost 6, but given the 10,432 ballet propositions on the Kalifoonia ticket this year, I probably wont get home till 8.[:O]

I was the first person in my precinct to vote this morning, aside (of course) for those that chose to early vote.

American Republican Democracy in action! Lets all pray for a good outcome (despite political party). May the best statesman win!
