Hi Rocky,
Welcome to the forum. Great bunch here. I do both NG and mainline. When I laid track a few weeks back the first train to run was a standard...so there ya' go! Good deal all around. The best part of this forum is we all like to discuss all aspects of the hobby. Enjoy the ride. Later eh...Brian.

I really don't care about guage most of my stuff is narrow guage but not all of it and not on purpose. If it looks good particularly of a night time and runs ok, well i like it.

Most for you who've answered I know from the other forum. Glad to see y'all here [^] I always thought one should broaden their horizions, so when I heard of this forum, I just had to branch out to check it out [:)] Well, time is short for me today, so I'll cut on out of here for now and go vote and go to work. See y'all later [:)]

Big hello to our new mates, [#welcome]
I model standard and narrow, sometimes both together. Works for me. ROCKY, we had a talk going a few weeks ago about a Brit company making guage 3 standard guage products - albeit Brit outline - with dual guage track, the 45mm being the narrow guage. When it comes to scale it's all in the eye of the beholder!! Have fun.
Cheers,
Kim

Mr Goat
Or can I call you Rocky?
Welcome, i have a friend in FL that loves GN also, he's kinda nuts ,but a generally fun guy.
Just FYI there are lots of NG folks here to. They are all around, they will never go away. They come from other plants and look like garden railroaders. Be careful sir.
You may become one.

Is it REAL? or Just 1:29 scale?

Long live Outdoor Model Railroading.

Hey on that other forum is that "GN Rocky" by any chance is it? If so, welcome to the other "other" forum[:D]

We got a bit of a mixed bag here to, although I do think we have more "Mainliners" than "Narrowliners" here.[:D] plus I think were a little bit easier going over here. Lots of good guys here too, Happy postings, Vic.

Yes, again if it is GN Rocky [#welcome] and about time [:D]

New to group. A standard gauger arrives
Posted by Anonymous on Monday, November 1, 2004 8:33 AM
Hello everyone [:)]
I was informed by a friend that this is a good place to go if you like standard gauge. I'm a member in another forum which is slowly turning into a narrow gauge forum. Seems all the standard gaugers have gone somewhere else [:(] Perhaps they've come here. I do large scale modeling in a big way and have close to 50 locos and 350 pieces of rolling stock. I model GN, NP and CB&Q. Standard gauge only. There is no such thing as narrow gauge in my world. I model things I grew up with, not things made in the 19th century. I hope to find a nich here to talk and share things with others on standard gauge modeling [^] Rocky
