I like the Rail Boss 4 that Del Taprio sells. Simple to install/use. Not a lot of features.

Thanks for the information. I am having problems finding one online. Any suggestion as to where to look?

One is the TrainLi easy train, and can run form track, or battery power, and is not polarity sensitive as it has an input diode bridge.  Operation is via key fob.

I was able to fit this receiver in the LGB 2015 stainz type american engine.

Simple/Cheap R/C
Posted by equinn on Sunday, August 31, 2014 4:47 PM

I want a super simple R/C unit that only operates 1 train and all it will do is power from 0-100%. No other features required. It must be able to hook up to a 2 amp battery of between 19.8 and 22.5 volts. Does anyone have any suggestions as to where I can get such a simple, and hopefully inexpensive unit?
