For now I'll share just some during/after links from the regional media and other 'net sources;

_ http://www.cbc.ca/player/News/Canada...ID/2448801529/ @ 23minutes !
{of course a couple commercials, news intro', then slide to 23ish min., buffering moments maybe required ... CN deisel on 'blue screen' background behind 'anchor was part of VGT booth display, youth interviewed were fantastic, imho  }

_ http://calgary.ctvnews.ca/families-a...2014-1.1773329
{people are viewing the display within a walk-thru area of the regional g-gauge club layout, at this time could not find any ctv vid' }

_ http://www.calgarysun.com/2014/04/13...-young-and-old
{slideshow, looks like at least 5 g-gauge flavoured shots }

_ https://www.facebook.com/Supertrain.ca
{since i don't do face', my sister chkd the site content for me, even the Mayor of Calgary showed up and I'm fairly certain first one to ever show-up at ST'; first pic with him is of TrainTalk.TV VJs, 2nd at least one of the guys is a Lego group member, 3rd i don't recognize them but with the creds/lanyard one is a exhibitor...}

_ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FEuCJfMLKwU{VJ- BARailsystems,  did not acquire g-gauge but likely due to crowds of fans surrounding the primary layout ! }

Okay I think my voice has recovered somewhat, time to quit data-mining (?), and head out for some fresh air .... on the RBR/PSR, maybe a (factory fresh shot of ST'14 purchase of 2- AML ) CN/ICG mkd 3 bay covered hoppers (waiting for their first 'train') at RBR southern depot

doug c

btw, again a lot of attendees and exhibitors expressed interest in the flashing AristoCraft pin on my cred's lanyard ("....sorry, no longer available for almost a decade, tried to acquire some more 4 yrs back, but since 12/2013 never again")

Landing in my inbox last week, from  one of the noted  G-gauge (manufacturer authorized) dealers  the following heads-up;

"Hey everyone.. 5 weeks to SuperTrain.   We will be located at A10 this year.     Drop by and see our new Piko Navigator system.  Controls switches, trains, etc...  all from one remote device.      We have even set up real railroading to demonstrate how this system works.     We will have switches on special along with as much track as we can bring.    (best price you'll find - $6.00/foot)        We've sold the track off our layout for the last 2 years so don't be disappointed, if you need more, order now and we can bring it with us.....    Need anything in the way of rolling stock, engines, buildings, let us know by March 14th {friday} and we can bring everything to SuperTrain.  . . . "

Yes when they first started, this dealer integrated double trackage around the perimeter of their 'booth space' to enable them to show potential and existing G-gauge hobbyists how the product 'performs'.  Since they have exhibited at other shows where there were no Garden railway layouts !
