Hi All,
I have an LGB light signal (50950), and having issues with it, with the isolated track connected the wire is connected into 2a and 2b, then connected to the supplementary switch (12030), the switch control is cabled to the switch control box.
when testing the switch, I can get the signal to switch from green to red, by pressing the switch on the switch control box, but I can't get it to switch back the other way.
Does anyone any experience with these signals, as I can't figure out what I am doing wrong.
Thanks in advance
Simon
Are you using A/C power for your 50750/51750 control?
Do you have the EPL and switch box orange and white tabs connected?
If so, then it should work.
Try another switch box output.
Hi there,
thanks for your responce, I can confirm that I have the power going to the EPL and orange switch box. The issue I have is I can only make the EPL switch in one direction (not back and forth) via the switch button. If I swap over the power cable connectors, then the EPL will switch to the opposite direction but again not back and forth.
maybe I am not understanding the EPL and design, can they toggle back and forth via the switch box ?
The switch box from LGB uses AC input and reverses the output to make the EPL drive switch directions.
If you use AC to the input, and the output does not reverse then there is a problem in the switch box.
I assume you are using the 5075 or 5175.
The xx80 is a on/off unit and can not control the EPL drive as it will not reverse its output.
EPL drives are DC motors and need polarity reversed to change directions.
