G Scale San Francisco California Street Cable Car compatible power trucks
Posted by Tracman on Saturday, September 7, 2013 11:53 AM

AIS in my subject line, I'm looking for information on where to purchase G scale cable car compatible power trucks to power my Occre manufactured double ended California Street cable car. To those who respond to this query with valuable info, I'd be glad to send u in return select images of the real thing taken this past August while on a West Coast vacation.

'Cause building an underground cable system with a working grip is quite difficult.

Bachmann will also be issueing a Peter Witt type trolley later this year. North West Short Lines makes a powered axle called a Magic Carpet drive that might be perfect for the Occre kit.

An idiosyncrisy of mine, the interest to power my model as part of a diorama. Call me Don Quixote. Also call me realistic in not wanting to take on the challenge of recreating a beneath ground power system replete with museum located giant wheels driving the car from afar.
