Paradise by the Dash-9 Lights with sincere apologies to Meatloaf boy I remember every little thing As if it happened only yesterday Walking down the aisle And there was not another railroader in sight And I never held a loco Looking any better than it did And all the boys in the club They were wishing they were me that night And now the body was detailed and the colors were right It never pulled so good, it never felt so right And we're glowing like the railhead as it's reflectin' the light Glowing like the railhead as it's reflectin' the light C'mon! Hold on tight! C'mon! Hold on tight! Though it's cold and lonely in the deep dark night I can see paradise by the dash-9 light girl Ain't no doubt about it We we could doublehead Cause all the signals were green "Highball" is what the dispatcher said both Ain't no doubt about it Baby got to go and shout it Ain't no doubt about it We could doublehead boy Cause all the signals were green "Highball" is what the dispatcher said ... Okay, perhaps I should cut back on the caffiene late at night, but the muse was upon me. Later, K
QUOTE: Originally posted by mkblk The pain, the pain! I've only been "into" G-Scale for about a year and the bug has bitten really deep. G (or Fn3 for me) is the future of my model railroading hobby. Now if only I could give up some of my Lionel or HO stuff, I could easily buy that Accucraft live steam shay! But, parting ain't easy. Got my 1st Lionel for my 3rd BD in '45. Still have it, still runs. Then a GG-1 set in '58 and many bits and pieces over the years including every Fundimensions heavyweight ever offered (and I'm STILL buying that stuff!). When I go to the train store, they lock me in! In High School got involved with HO (back then it was cool... sort of - I was also on the football team for insurance) and now, quite a few years later, have accumulated a nice collection of Pennsy Bowser stuff and lots of rolling stock (but no layout... yet). So you can see, if I could only stand the pain, I could have a dream live steam garden railway... but I can't part with the Lionel's or the HO's. Besides I do have a small Lionel layout set up for my grandson (in the space reserved for the future? HO layout). Boy, I wish I could have my cake and eat it too! Thank goodness my wife is so understanding. On the other hand, she always knows what I'm up to... trains! MK
Have fun with your trains
