Sounds like you have the same thing going on that I did. It could be that your computer is not properly recognizing the type of monitor you have. Most of us now use windscreen monitors and the computer “thinks” it is 10 inch square “old style” monitor and is displaying as if it is square screen and filling the margins with the site’s background color. Take a look at your systems control panel and find the part that describes what monitor you have and have the system “re-recognize” the monitor. In my case I have set the display at 120% to fill the screen with what I’m looking at. (OK, I’, NOT a computer expert and the quote marks are around non-computer terms trying to be computer terms.) For quite some time I was having problems with text that was gray instead of black. My son-in-law (a network admin) took a few seconds in the control panel and changed the “native definition” of gray text to almost black, making it easier for me to see. Couple of months back I was helping a friend remove a damaged tree from his yard. He brought up the subject and I told him want we did to my computer, when he asked how, his 10-year-old neighbor said, “That’s easy”. Paid the kid a soda and peanut butter sandwich to do the job.

Font size question

Why is the font size so small in most of the text sections of this website. While reading the Gardening section - 'A catalog of useful plants for garden railroads', the text size is almost viewable. It's a little hard to understand why there are approximately 3 inch borders on each side of the viewable area and text size the size of a gnat.

Just asking...Tongue Tied
