I've always ordered rail under one item number and then the tie sets under another item number. I thought that was the way it came.

im a beginner and dont know much but the best i can tell its just the ties and any tie can be made into a flex tie but someone will probably tell me there different alloys in the steel but i dont see the difference.
When I read about the evils of drinking I quit reading.
Thanks guys. I'll order the flex ties while I hand lay what I have to make some switches. I have a bunch of standard ties left over from a previous order of "Track".
So what is the difference between "Rail" and "Flex Rail"?
Thanks again,
Rex
Rex,
If you ordered Item No. ART11005 FLEX RAIL BRASS 8' (12), then all you will receive is rail. Rail is rail, track is rail with ties. There are those out there who prefer to hand lay their track and turnouts, and that is what that is offered for. You will have to order the tie strips separately.
Edit: I will admit, the Aristo web site could be a bit better when it comes to descriptions of what is what.

Rex I think you needed to order the flex ties. If all you did was make the coment that you wanted the flex ties then they put them in your wish list that they do not maintaine. They are close to Philadelphia so they may only have minor damage from Sandy. outherwise we would have seen a water damage sale by now.....

The head is gray, hands don't work , back is weak, legs give out, eyes are gone, money go's and my wife still love's Me.
thats odd i wonder if there still on there way
I received 12 8 foot pieces of rail. I did specify in the comments section that I wanted the euro style flex ties. There was no reply to my comment on my invoice and still no email response or return phone call. I wonder if they are having "Sandy" problems back there in NJ?
i ordered rail off of them once but i only ordered rail and thats what i expected to get it came in a tube like you said im thinking you have to ask for ties
I ordered ART11005 Flex Rail Brass 8' (12). The rail came packaged in a pipe but no ties. Was this item suppose to come with ties or not? I assumed it did but now I don't know. I've tried emailing and calling the Aristo office in NJ to no avail. I'm able to leave a message but can't reach a live person. Any experience out there?
Thanks,
