This coming Saturday, Sept 15th, the Wichita Area Garden Railway Society (WAGRS) is holding its 15th Annual Garden around the Wichita, KS area from 10am-5pm, RAIN OR SHINE.

There is NO CHARGE for the tour. A donation jar will be available at each tour stop if you wish to help WAGRS fund our participation at community support display and projects.

This year, we have 8 layouts on tour, including the new Gene E. Spear Garden Railway at Botanica, the Wichita Gardens.  This tour is a public display that was made possible by the donation of track, locomotive and rolling stock by WAGRS member Gene Spear.  The layout was designed and built by the WAGRS club over the last year and was dedicated on Aug 18th.

Tour maps can be found at local garden centers, hobby shops, various other venues and each layout.

The railways on the tour are:

Gene Spear Garden Railway at Botanica, 701 N Amidon, Wichita, KS (must have tour guide for free admission on Saturday for immediate family only)

G&R/GH&HP Railroads, 1425 N Broadway, Wichita, KS (electric and portable live steam)

Valley Park Garden Railway, 6356 N Seneca, Wichita, KS

Lake George Garden Railway, 2434 N Amidon, Wichita, KS

D&M Railway, 217 Joann, Wichita, KS

San Luis & Rio Grande, 844 N Westlink, Wichita, KS
