Hi smcgill
All of the above and foam and plastic.
It helps to know the era of your railway if you are running early steam then wood or modern deisles brick or concrete
If you want the painfull way I saw an add for real bricks in 1/2' scale.
On a more practical note a number of manufacturers produce pre cast concrete foam and plastic tunnel mouths in our sort of sizes i would sugest a giant tunnel behind a scale removable mouth you never know what monsters some one may visit with.
regards John

smcgill,
I use posterboard, balsa wood, and cut down finishing nails.

Well I started one with wood - we'll see if it works!
