Anyone hear anything about St. Aubin closing ? Sounds like a lot of the guys over at LSC believe it's true. I've checked St. Aubin's website and it looks like it's business as usual ..... what gives ?

Aristo-Craft's facebook page says they are closing.
People at the ECLSTS have reported a sign in their (St. Aubins) booth confirming this
Looks to be true.

Theres also news floating around that one of the former employees bought out the inventory and the name and will be reopening sometime soon, whether this will be a brick and morter LHS or just a mail order only shop in yet to be disclosed. My guess is the later.
Have fun with your trains
I talked with Jason at St. Aubins, and sadly, yes he confirmed that they are closing.
He will be sending out an email tonight with more information, and it will be posted on their website as of March 27.
They will be having a liquidation sale starting this weekend. More information will be posted on their site.

If they are going to liquidate then theres no buyout in the offing. they wouldnt sell inventory at a fire sale if someone was going to take over the business. Thats that!
For years they were one of the largest, possibly the very largest, dealer at Milwaukee's Trainfest, in terms of tables. Two years ago however they did not take part at all. Last year their booth was much reduced in size and scope and the handwriting seemed to be on the wall.

Yep, there are/were a lot of rumors about Matt buying the place out... the only thing that will be available after this weekend will be the name.
It never was the same after Pat was gone..
