the progress on the main yard (first picture of first post) here;s what it looked like yesterday with everything tore out

Darren I noticed there wasn't any new post over there for some time, was using it to keep track of internet finds, there are some gems still to be found.  Found this picture last night

You may or may not have know or noticed that I was a Moderator there for 10+ years; basically since the site was founded.  I was the one that got the D&H forum setup there and most of those topics are ones I started to share my D&H interest with everyone.  I recently resigned  from TB and don't spend much time there any more and spend most my time here on the various trains.com forums.

I'm always glad to hear folks enjoy the DHVM and I will get back to updating it.  I'm always shocked to see the Hit Counter grow everyday like it does.  I keep telling myself I need to do something special for the site as it closes in on 1 Million hits even if its nothing more then get everything folks have sent me online.

As for posting images, I for the most part don't trust those features from any sight.  What I do is "Right Click" on the image to get the URL of the JPEG itself.  Then I use the forum method for posting images via the URL of the JPEG.  Here on trains.com, click on the "" icon and paste the URL there.  The image will show up right away in the edit window before you even hit the "Post" button so you are 99% sure it's right.  A few sites can mess with you even with this method but it's allot more certain to work then other methods.

Look forward to see your layout updates and operational photos / videos once it's all up and running!

Yes those are the right photos, photobucket has 4 link options, which one does this site use?

As for the DHVM site, it very much is appreciated and well used by fellow fans.

I have posted a few other useful links over at the TrainBoard site that you might like as well

thanks

Sadly no but I sure did enjoy your photographs when I was looking through them last night!  I hope to get back to working on the DHVM as I have a ton of material folks told me I could share but the site needs rebuilt from the ground up and I have just not gotten motivated enough to do that yet.

Did I link in the right photos last night into your Opening Post?

Would you have any pictures of the coaling tower at south junction/bluff point I have some small ones that don't show detail.

MarkDash- Welcome to trains.com! Cowboy

Looks like there is an issue with the images showing but I will try to help you with that tonight.  If I didn't get the right photos posted let me know so we can the right ones as I personally am looking forward to this topic as a fellow D&H Fan!

Current plans for the Railroad for 2012, model the D&H from Plattsburgh to Ausable Forks, NY.  For the last week I have begun rough grade of the mainline to make sure I have enough track.  Most of the buildings from the previous layout will be moved/repaired/replaced for "filler" until more prototypical buildings/industries can be made.

Mainline is roughly laid out

Plattsburgh Depot under construction - Windows, Roof, and some small details, and paint needed to finish.
