No thanks! to PHIL Creer AKA toenailridges COME ON PEOPLE!

I think it's sad that only three people said thanks to Phil Creers for his efforts on the plan building forum. He's rethinking posting any more class projects and I don't blame him!

I'M GIVING BENIFIT OF DOUBT THAT MY FELLOW FORUM MEMBER MISSED THIS THREAD OVER THERE!

I hope you are exagerating. I saw his note about scratchbuilding the store, posted my reply and started inventorying my wood supplies. I have a couple of weeks to go on the new house for my division engineer and could start then.

I was glad to see him going for a building - I'm not much on rolling stock.

Well I can say I am seeing it from the outside on this one.
Reason such a high view/hits cause I was watching ya'll build them.

And I as like Phil wanted to go back to web site I am making a "real" web page and time is right for me to do that.
But I will be around to make the store!

I have some old photos I can send and see what Phil has to say. Will not hurt my feelings if he turns them down.

I am always Thankful when some one does something for me from Rene to Phil....We all have been helping on another on this forum

Matt,

The small number of replies to Phil's efforts may be an indication of the general modeling preference of the forum members. Not everybody is interested or has the time to scratchbuild, they may prefer to just "watch them run". Maybe we should conduct a poll to get an idea of how many of us is interested in starting a scratchbuilding project at this time, or ever.

It goes without saying that we all appreciate Phil's efforts to share his unique talents with the rest of us. We all also appreciate OLD DAD's efforts to bring us the updated website directory. How about all the other "regulars" on the forum that are always there to offer help and encouragement.

I'm sure I speak for everyone on the forum when I say: Thanks to all the above for going beyond the call for the rest of us.

Well said Walt,
I applaud everyone who gives a little (or a lot) of their time to post on the forum. There are lots of people out there who stop by to read what's going on, as I have on Phils scratchbuilding. If this forum encourages just one person, every now and then, to take the plunge into our hobby after reading about the highs and lows then, believe me, it has been worth every word written.
Cheers,
Kim

If you clicked on the link you would see his reply and understand that he feels kinda unappreciated for his efforts due to all the questions, answers on projects or even new ones to start. Someone(can't remember who exact) started a thank you thread over in the plan building forum of saying thanks for Phil's efforts and I felt it needed to be said. I myself didn't even build exactly what he was building, I watch and learned to apply the knowledge to my own projects.

Grandpopswalt- Your're ABLSOLUTELY right on old Dad not sure if anyone has ever told him thanks, I know all of our lives are busy, and to be perfectly honest I probably would have not said"Thanks" to Phil either but someone with a thoughtful mind did and in my mind it just clicked that I ought to say thanks because enjoyed it.

To Phil, Old Dad, and everyone else who makes this forum such a wonderful and welcoming place:

I appreciate everything you do from a magazine standpoint. Phil, your scratchbuilding clases are a GREAT idea and really add to these forums. Old Dad, your list of links is helpful as well. My experience with the magazine is that if people like what you're doing, you won't hear much. However, if they don't like it, you will be notified. I think that's what is happening here. I'm sure visitors enjoy and use the information, even if they don't build the pieces. Every link, reference, and photo posted here is a wealth of information. We couldn't do it without YOU!

Phil I missed your little matter I am not on the forum as much as i could be these days i am wotking hard at losing weight and developing my area three.

However this is not an isolated case, I have seen may good topics raise just about no interest at all on this forum and also many pointless frivaless things get a lot off attention and this has anoyed me no end, but thems the breaks and you just live with them or clear off.
