There is a 3 foot radius switch available from Train-Li which would work well in a 6.5 foot diameter layout.
R1 track from various mfg are 4 foot diameter, and LGB had curves that were just under 5 foot called R2 in the 15000 series.
I have found that some locos specifying 8 foot diameter minimum will run on the 3 foot Train-Li switch including Aristo passenger cars, newer Pacific and even the dash9.
Of course all LGB will run on 4 foot diameter as will many 2 axle drives like the USA NW2, and even the Bachman annie as long as you add 1 ounce of weight above each pilot axle.
I am doing something similar in a room of the same size - did you get any good ideas and if so , can you send a shematic ?
Large scale indoors is what I do, some pics and some dimensions would be nice before offering suggestions
Have fun with your trains

Never been there myself but it looks interesting.
Dear Ar-Way, welcome to the forums....do me a big favor and turn off your caps lock; it's difficult to read, at least for me, and I'm very interested in seeing the responses to this because you are, in effect, building an indoor large-scale rr in a limited space. Should be a nifty project.
Thanks.

Hi AR-WAY to the forum, it helps if you give an idea where you are based as you can see I live in the UK

HI ALL !!!!
THIS IS MY FIRST POST... I JUST DONATED MY "G" SCALE TRAINS AND TRACK TO THE" EAST TROY RAILROAD MUSEUM" THEY IN TURN GAVE ME A REFFER BOX CAR THAT WOULD BE PLACED NEXT TO THE MUSEUM AND ASKED ME TO BUILD A "G" SCALE LAYOUT INSIDE THIS CAR..
I NEED HELP IN DESIGNING THIS LAYOUT !!! I WOULD LIKE DIFFERENT LEVELS BUT MY MAX DIA. WOULD BE 6.5 I WOULD LIKE TO USE ARISTO CRAFT TRACK.. BECAUSE I HAVE SEVERAL HUNDERD OF TRACK THAT I DONATED ALONG WITH 10 SWITCHES THAT HAVE NEVER BEEN USED. THE BOX CAR IS 37' X 8' WE WILL NEED A 4' AREA IN FRONT OF THE DISPLAY SO I THOUGHT OF DOG BONE DESIGN WITH 8' LEG ON EACH END AND A 4' WIDE LONG RUN ON THE BACK SIDE..
THE OVERALL DESIGN WOULD BE OF A LOGGING CAMP , MILL, AND TOWN..
ANY IDEAS ??????????.
