I have converted several gnomies into ornaments for my Christmas tree. I also bought several for my grandchildren when they were younger. I think I read a post some years ago where someone converted the boxcar and passenger car into Gn15 cars. I have done the same with the tipple car for my Gn15. Have fun with them.
Gnomy are friction-driven toys. You push one on the floor to start a flywheel spinning and they will then run across the floor on their own until the flywheel stops. Not even close to being an LGB train product.
The gnomy is a small toy, not a large scale train.
Lgb made more than Garden trains, they made some balloons, the Ikarus plane, and some other items. Even a helicopter which is a load on a toy train car.
rhj4 Is GNOMY a different brand from LGB? What is GNOMY?
GNOMY is a toy produced by the toy division of LGB. I recently purchased an LGB freight car that had a GNOMY "consist" (tank engine and two freight cars) as its cargo. Push it across the floor (spin up the flywheel) and it will run across the floor. Size: execelent to put into a city park within your GRR to simulat kids climb on playground.

Gnome were toys produced by EPL (Ernst Paul Lehmann) who were the manufacturer of LGB trains.

I just purchased (but have not yet received) a GNOMY mini locomotive. Is GNOMY a different brand from LGB? What is GNOMY?
