I am also seriously considering using aluminum track - no particular supplier yet. I would be most interested in hearing the pluses and minuses of your experience once you start laying your track, particularly how forming curves was going.
Thanks for the reply. I have ordered and received AML alum for a big discount on sale for construction of my Garden RR and looking forward to start of laying track.
I've used Aristo alum for about a year and some AML brass. so I told a friend to buy some while its on sale. plus shipping is less.
Is it REAL? or Just 1:29 scale?
Long live Outdoor Model Railroading.
Not Accucraft, but I used aluminum rail from SwitchCrafters and Train-Li PVC plastic ties for a large, outdoor layout at our local train club.
The SwitchCrafters rail comes in 6 foot lengths. You'll need a rail bender and hacksaw because it is a very hard aluminum alloy.
Has anyone used any Accucraft Track? Thinking about using Code 332 Aluminum Track, will use battery power and no large animals around to cause damage.
