Rail Bender
Posted by mryombee on Sunday, August 15, 2004 12:03 AM
I am looking for ideas or places where I might be able to get plans for building my own rail bender.

Names for suppliers of comercial ones would also be appreciated

Any ideas would be appreciated.

Check the back issues of GR. There was an article within the last year or so about how to build your own.

mryombee,
The issue Walt mentions is the June 2002 one. I made a copy of the plans for future reference[:D]

Thanks for the info, I will look into that. I am in the process of planning my first Garden Railway and want to design and scratch build all my own track. I think it will be quite the task, but a lot of fun and worth it inthe end.

I did a search on the back issues, the only thing that came up for "rail bender" was from 1986 or so. Anyone willing to e-mail me the directions? [:D]

Chris,
If you look in the index for 2002 you'll find the listing as the first one under Larry Cannon. http://www.trains.com/Utilities/get_galleryfile.asp?idOLG={CB64D204-35FB-4FFF-AF8F-62B4F240A8E8}1
