You need a magnet on the bottom of the engine to trip a reed switch under the track.
Problem is the LGB magnets are the width of the motor and are glued on the bottom of the engine.
You need a smaller magnet and place the magnet one on one side of the engine, and a second magnet on the opposite side on the bottom of the caboose.
Now you need 2 reed switches on top of the ties to be triggered by the passing train/magnets.
Hi,
Have just received an LGB 50950 signal with isolating track etc... Would like to know if there is any way it can be installed just to have the signal go from green to red when the train goes past it, and afterwards goes back to green.
Hope someone can help
Simon
