Power supply

What do most of you use for a power supply on G gauge railroads. I have a MRC 6200 and was told I should upgrade to a 10 amp system. I looked at power supplies on the net and found an MRC 990, Aristo CRE-55460 but it implied you need the CRE-55401 Controller to operate it.I want to operate two separate tracks each with one loco pulling no more than 7-8 cars plus a caboose. I was talking to someone that said I needed an upgrade if I want to operate my Aristo Pacific and hopefully an Aristo 2-8-0. I have a few Aristo, USA and a couple Bachmann locos. Please guide me to a reliable power source that is affordable as something like Bridgewerks is way over my price range. Thank you

Check out Bridgewerks products. I have a 15amp unit  from them I use to run 4 RS3's and varaious outher engine combinations. I think they have a 10amp  two controler supply that may meet your needs.

I use an Aristo Ultima 10 amp power supply with an Aristo CRE 5571 Train Engineer. The Train Engineer is a R/C throttle that allows operators to walk around with their trains. I’ve been using my three TE’s for about fifteen years. I can run four USA Trains locos and an Aristo RDC on one TE. I also have a MRC 6200 that has been relegated to the test bench. Have fun, Rob

That's what I use too...I don't like track power, but I works.
