The Delta Northern still lives, ran some trains today, without cleaning the rails, I love my stainless steel track.

The head is gray, hands don't work , back is weak, legs give out, eyes are gone, money go's and my wife still love's Me.

I used half hollow tile for the gardend bead (~18") then spread dyed mortar mix on it.  Were I naught but a rookie, it might have looked more like rock.  Even at that, it is a whole lot better than bare tile! I admit cost of materials drove my choices; there are more aesthetically pleasing ways to do it.  Had cash been plentiful, I would've used lava rock.

The very last Rebuild.

I have said it before and hope not to say it again. this is the very last time the Delta Northern will be rebuilt. Constuction will start on or about 1 Dec 2111. The plan is to raise my track level 16 or 24 inch's above it's current level. The new DNRR wil be a folded dog bone with a loop-to-loop in the center. This concept will permit 2 trains to run all track powered with littel intervention. The main problem I see is building two sections of  free standing wall that don't look like leggos. Any workable suggestion's will be considered. Once I draw a track plan I will post it. For now one section will be as big as 3/4 of a 9ft diamiter loop with a 8ft loop added . That section will go around the Lemon Tree.  the other free standing section is a combination part 10ft and part 9ft with a part 9ft and 8ft loop added .Both loops will be viewed from both sides.  All of the rest will be easy since the viewing angel is from  the inside ..
