First off, welcome!
About the pictures...try up loading your pics to a free hosting site (like http://www.flickr.com/ ).
You're also missing some code. You need a < to start then an ing tag then the url (like when the pic is on Flickr) and what code is all ready there... let me just give you an example:
<img src="the_url_here" alt="" />
click on the "HTML" button when you post your message and use code similar to the example I gave.
I'm a young web master...if that didn't make any sense let me know (I don't know how well I explained that).

I have my own web site and have uploaded photos to that www.shearwater-boats.com though there is no link on the site to the train photos only boat stuff so far.
The Photobucket.com seems like the way to go and probably easier than the way I have to do it.
You can also load photos to the Garden Railways Gallery which seems to be under used.
P.S. I think you are headed the right way with your forney. one solid deck is better that two peice rear deck. my one inch dia wheels(over the flanges) just fit under an un-raised deck. perhaps you can work out a way to use the original deck as a support fo the raised deck while still holding the boiler, johnson bar and gas tank in the original-right places. you may want to trim it down a bit...

Because all of our pictures aren't on a "Publicly Accessible Web Server," we can't post any, they're all on our PC. Unless there's a way to get around this, we'll never be able to post images.

After our first post some people wanted to know if we ran track power or battery/ radio. Well we have a live steam accucraft ruby (some of the recent posts) and our bachmann annies are track power. We only clean our track with water and a rag (mostly surface dust)but we can't get the middle of the 8' long tunnel. Hope I could answer your questions.

Thank You sooo much for the advice! I have my engine set up like Erics with the truck that pivots on a bar about in the middle of the original cab floor with a spring which works great but like I said the modified lionel ''o'' gauge wheel flanges just can't handle the "ups & downs" "side to side" roughness of g scale track. The next problem is the floor of the cab and foreny addition (which are two separate pieces) are not high enough off the ground so I plan to build one solid floor to replace the original cab floor and addition. I will raise the floor up about half a centimeter and it will be made of THICK aluminum that way I can raise the truck up for bigger wheels. I also ordered radio control which was probably a great idea. I received half of it yesterday and I'm very pleased. Very robust! I ordered it from www.rc-steamers.com. The broken buffer beam was originally home made so it's not a HUGE deal to replace it. I only have to tear off the JB welded on coupler, undo the screws that hold on the cow catcher if I can get the glue out their the heads, and finally unbolt the broken beam and replace it.

Sorry to hear of your accident...you will be back at it in no time!
If you can get a peice of wood of similar size, fixing the pilot beam is not too difficult...redrill the holes using the old one as a pattern. use a marine spar Varnish to seal the wood or just oil it. until you get the track figured out using a soft wood will prevent the frame from being damaged in a bad accident...it is easier to fix wood than metal.
here is a photo of the frame for my Forney. she is not a Ruby but the trailing (tender) truck is set up the same way as my Ruby Forneys. the truck is mounted on an arm which pivots as far forward as practical. the coupler on this model is attached to the arm but could also be attached to the truck.
I bolted the arm to the frame spreader. I made a bushing that was bolted tight to the spreader and a loose fit in a hole in the arm. ( a couple of peices of brass tubing should do the trick ) I used a tap to thread the hole in the spreader for the bolt.
The truck is mounted to the arm on a long pin with a spring so it can suport the rear of the engine while moving up and down to stay on the track. make sure there is enough motion that the drive wheels all stay on the track in your roughest spot, the spring will help the whole thing track better. I bent mine from a peice of sprin wire using pliers.
the deck of my forney was bolted to the top of the engine frame, though in doing it again I might raise it a little to give more room for the truck. I made one big deck...I used the original Ruy deck as a template to drill holes in the new big one.

Yesterday I wrote a post on my ruby accident and tried to post pictures but the pictures messed up the whole thing( I need some info on picture posting)! But here is the post. Thanks for Replying! It's really fun talking with you guys. I ran my Ruby twice today but the second run ended in complete devastation. Our oval is sloped so the Ruby goes snail up one side and mock 20 down the other side!!!!! But that is only part of the problem. The downhill curve has minor kinks in it along with the speed are enough to make the rear truck wheels (Lionel O gauge wheels with extended axles(terrible idea because they have REALLY SMALL flanges) jump the track, that's not the bad part. The derailed truck now gets caught in the switch at one end of the trestle and flips the whole entire engine and falls off the trestle 7'' down up side down then rolls twice. Broke the front buffer beam, broke the whistle off, bent the running boards, bent the forney addition deck, and lots of lots of lots of lots of scratches. I must repair the whole thing before the Sacramento Summer Steam-Up, two weeks away. I desperately need pics of other ruby-forney conversions for building help and encouragement! I'll get some pictures soon.

Hi there, just wanted to introduce the Winna Pic & Yucca R.R.. I'm Patrick (13) and my brother is Clancy (16). Our r.r. is 3 years old, themed to 1880-1925 and a proud owner of two Bmann Annies, a heavily bashed accucraft ruby, and soon to own a hartland mack. Our railway is a 60' oval (with a 60' addition coming soon). We have one scratch built 2' tall 9' long wood trestle and an 8' long tunnel.
