I apologize for being a total idiot but there have been times I've posted stuff and never gotten any responses. For the time being I will my big mouth shut. fiddlersgreen.net;papertoyscom
Well done Herr Paul!!! You are acknowledged - Paul the loon-atic?
Some thoughts....
If you require an immediate response, find a chat, or at least a higher frequented board.
If you want a response, ask a specific question, not just throw out links.
Timing is everything. Most people are thinking about flowers and weeds right now, not elves and snow... except those who are gearing up to sell stuff once people DO start thinking about it. Just like if you're advertizing something, if you're smart you save the bulk of your $$ and energy for when the most other folks will actually care.
If you just wanted an "Oooh! Ahh!" response. Then "Oooh! Ahh!",.... now let's talk about other more timely stuff for the present. We'll have PLENTY of time to deal with rampant overcommercialization, feel good token charity to make up for a whole year of selfishness, the galloping greedy gimmees, and crummy weather in it's season.
If I sound harsh, I'm sorry. I'm simply out of sugar coating.... perhaps that's the real reason why I'm not happily making sugar plums?
CHRISTMAS????? I thought Costco and those other hideous stores were bad dedicating an aisle by the middle of August....you got them beat by months!!! Can't we at least make it to the All-Star break???

Sometimes you just open a topic that doesn't generate a lot of interest or by the time you join on an existing thread it has about run its course and no one posts anymore and it seems like you killed the subject. In the latter case you just have to tell yourself that someone has to be the last to post. It's not a personal thing being ignored.
I looked up most of your sites (I could not get "bigindoorstrains.com to load) and some were more intriguing than others (to me). But there was something interesting nearly everywhere. I believe the "btcomm…" site to be the most informative.
As far as getting excited about Christmas, as you pointed out, it's a little early to get too fired up about it. And for some of the members who post and are just beginning to see the end of this season's snow, probably winter scenes aren't too popular right now.
Sorry, but I would like some feedback on this.
Sure:
Don't expect many responses with that attitude.
This is a forum, you post if you want to, and people reply IF they want to.
Poor etiquette.
