Slopeback tender with sound
Posted by brains on Thursday, April 21, 2011 1:34 PM

I just purchased an Aristo 0-4-0 Loco that came with a tender with sound.  I have been reading a lot and have gotten mixed answers to my question.  When it says that it comes with sound, does it really come with sound or is there just a speaker that will play an aftermarket sound system?

Thanks,

Ed

If the Aristocraft slope back tender has sound it is easy to find out. I know the original tender has sound and the Pacific when it first came out had sound but it was removed on the Mallet.

To find out if your tender has sound try to slide the water fill cover back towards the tail light and the coal load will become loose, lift the coal load and there will be a volume control rheostat there.

I don't know if the tenders without sound will still have the pulse pickup on the axle or not.
