Taking an Educated guess...

Napoli, Italia, the train is a ETR 500 Italian HST, and the smoking photo is from a vent of the Big V - Mt. Vensuvious

Well Vic, you certainly have the right country. You have the train pegged, the logo is a match. How do you do it? I'm lousey at foreign trains.

By the way, in case I miss the actual post, congrats on that fifth star, and welcome to our little club. Mookie, Jim, Ed, me, Joe, and soon you.[swg] I seem to remember something about you buyin drinks when you got to four. That was a post on the DOS topic. Somewhere around page 8 maybe? Good thing Bergie didn't delete the topic.[:O][(-D][(-D]

Ian
Is that your partner besides the luggage.
How do you train them so they stand still while your taking pictures of trains?

I am sorry Vic but you got the train wrong and the mountain and you didn't cover the important person.

Ian,

Doing a side by side of the photos, your right of course but they are almost identical. I still say Italy, but the train is obviously a newer model not covered by the "official" website.

But you didnt say I got the STATION wrong! and I didnt know we were supposed to guess the person in the photo also[;)]

PS thanks BigBoy, I dont put too much in these stars, might make some people think I actually KNOW something[D)][(-D][:-,][%-)][D)]

We had a lot of trouble getting the information to Rene possibly to do with my lack of knowledge of computer matters. But it was three part question name the station, the train (not the loco) and the important person.
