I have an Olympus "Stylus Tough" which is a pocket size digital camera with High Resolution Video... I have been using it for all photo and video lately.  It takes good photos and video.  I did need an extra battery and memory card.

It comes with a cable that fits right into the USB on my computer.  It also comes with software which I havnt used.

The best thing about the camera is the "tough" aspect.  I have dropped it and gotten it wet...no problem!  It will even take photos under water.  wet oily hands after steamup do not harm it.

The kit I ordered on ebay has the usb data cable that will fit my phone along with one of my computer usb ports.  I went thru my junk box but nothing I have on hand fits my phone.  The cell phone company makes it hard for us so that they can make money on our file transfers.

If phone has a menory card (like mine), pull the card out, put into adaptor, put into computer, or if you have a USB data cable, just "file transfer", if none of the above try "bluetooth"ing the photos to computer.

The problem with that for me is that if you want to upload any pictures that you take with your phone for use on your computer my cell phone carrier requires you to upload  them to their site and then you can download them to your computer.  Of course they charge a fee for that.  I have found some workarounds for that problem though and am waiting for a kit that I bought on ebay.

I have two Aiptek camcorders-maybe $55 (I don't remember). The're okay but the zoom isn't great and they don't seem to focus good. I'm looking at a Sony Cyber-shot DSC W-370. 14.1 mp, 7x zoom. About $110 on Ebay.

I need to get a new, good camera... I don't think the one or two I have are good enough...

I've got about 8 of the $20~$50 cameras and don't like any of them. Went out a bought a Cannon DSLR with a "reach out and touch" telephoto lens. I'm learning how to use it, getting things ready before I take vacation, Grand Canyon Rails.

I just happened to have my camera on the way through Waterville after dropping my son at his ride to school.

Or, if you have a cell phone with a camera you can get a picture and have one less gadget to carry.

Today I hauled a good sized stakebed load of merchandise up to the Stockton area.  Not being from there I got lost up there because my GPS took a dump on me and while roaming around trying to get my bearings I ran across a train track that had four diesel locomotives of different road names.  I almost ran into the car ahead of me.

Similar situation in Salinas, CA  a couple of years ago,  Parking my car at the train station while on jury duty,  there was a Black Widow diesel sitting in the yard and I swear it was from the Denver and Rio Grande.

Thats twice now that I've had to kick my own butt.  I need to keep my camera with me at all times for these golden moments.  Woe is me!
