It's so nice to you to help your neighbor. Why don't you contact one of the clubs in the area? There's the Chicago area garden railway society, Walter Radtke, wagx2@email.com or the LGB club of Chicago, Jim Rusch, info@lgbmrrcc.com

You may want to get in touch with Watt's Train Shop, in Zionsville, IN (just north of Indianapolis). While not exactly metro Chicago, Watts is probably one of the best shops to go to for collectible LGB and it's not too far of a drive (2, 3 hours?)

My neighbor went to a nursing home and we need to sell his G scale layout which is the entire basement with LGB and aristo craft and maybe some others

there are also Pola houses, 4 stall roundhouse , mountain and wall panels displaying the mountains

if anyone knows anyone in the chicagoland area that could help, or if I could send pictures to help Identify these trains-  many are from the late 80"s when LGB did not put numbers on their cars and engines

Thank you
