gear noise

Hi  Yes they do have poor sound on this unit  You can modify the unit by fitting something like Pheonix sound,  As for noisey gears yes a LITTLE white grease on plastic gears and moter drive thread.   When putting the base plate back on make sure you get the contacts in the right wat round.

i have 6 bachmann 4-6-0s some have very loud gear noise, or whine should a dollap of white grease cure this?  Also i have hooked uo tenders and turned sound all the way up and can hardly hear chuffs of engine is this a common problem or do i change batteries, or what would like to eventially go to better locos and sound.
