Ian,
Yup, trucks & bogies are the same, just another example of what Winston Churchill said "two cultures separated by a common language."

Troy

Troy,
I worked for a guy that selles G and other scale trains.
Seems I asked to many questions about other models than L and Mth.
I did all his track weeding and nice flowers, bushes, etc... NOT NO MORE he just was stuck up (thought he was a God) person.
We all put on our pants on the same way in the morning or leased I thought so.
If I had to order overseas like I have before, then I would.

Another person I have used for great international sales is a shop? from the US.
Go to E-Bay.Go to member search and stick in
ana.kramer
Even with postage to England I still find them good value.

Of all the wheelsets out there I find that Bachmann's are the best. They fit everything, LGB, Aristo, USA, Harland, etc, etc. The wheels from other makers and aftermarket often dont interchange, like USA wheels into LGB, bad fit, but the Bmann wheels just pop right into place in everything I have so far upgraded, plus they are more affordable than any other sets. So I would recommend B'mann's.

As for trucks, ?????, I dont think you will gain any advantage using metal.

   Have fun with your trains

Bachmann and LGB metal wheelsets are excellent, Bachmann are available in two sizes. Steel trucks? Ozark Miniatures does cast alloy journals. I think Accucraft does metal trucks, check their website.

Where have you people found it nice to buy both, either at the same time or different times
I am needing some steel and would like to try steel trucks also.
