Now that Bonnie has gone to the "land of no pain". It is time to begin the revival of Rosebud Falls Scenic
Railways. For the last 2+ years of her life the Railroad suffered the ignonomy of negelect. A week before
she passed, she told me to finish the extension out to "Green Apple Orchard. A quick survey of the righ of
way indicates that massive repair job is in order. To give an idea of the challenge ahead, here are a few
pix from 2~3 years ago and some take today.
The yards at Rosebud Falls.
Burried inside the trees are a coaling tower, water tank, and yard office. Under the weeds is a 4 spur stub yard.
Hotel and salloon in downtown.
In need of a "sprucing up"
.
The city park.
Needing to get the "lawn mowed".
Vine Arbor, site of the "County Fair
After two years of chickens digging for a bit of protien.
Dutchman's Mill
Well, at least the mill is still there.
The "bend" at Rosbud Flats
Now
As can be seen I have a bit of work to get done to get things back into operation condition. The only part
of the empire that is 100% operational at this time is the bridge up to Cheatu de Vic, the trolley just cannot
negotiate the weeds around the park.
My goal is to have trains running by the end of May. Just hope I can keep to that schedule.

Well Tom, if anyone can do it, you can. I hope you get back up on your feet and get your garden railway running and enjoy the memories. - Peter

Hi Tom,
It looks like you had put a lot of work and thought into your railroad. I bet it'll be nice to get it up and running again.
Best of luck!
