Using a supplement only as bait to lure new subscribers seems like a pretty shoddy way to treat your regular subscribers -- everyone should have received a copy.

Hello all,

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but cacole is right. It only went to entice new subscribers. (Don't shoot the messenger. .) HOWEVER, if anyone would like a free copy, please email me directly at rschweitzer@kalmbach.com and I will see that you get one.

I would like to see how many "New", "Check out the NEW special issue, Model Trains Step by Step! 8 layouts you can build PLUS a FREE instructional DVD. Click here." DVDs they sell.
Would be intersting.
Might have to fire off emails to the CEO [;)][:D]

Hi all
Me I have finaly got the supliment off SWMBO and a few in there I had not thought of.
Me I would like to see some serious publications like Small structures For Your Garden Railway, Beginers Guide To Garden Roling Stock Construction, Your Garden How to Grow A Garden Railway
You know just the sot of stuff the other scales take for granted in the garden is different enought I think to warrant more publications book wise than we have I think

Rene gave me (information) some other titles to look at:
Getting Started in Garden Railroading by Allan Miller Krause Publications
The Large-Scale Model Railroad Handbook by Robert Schleicher Krause Publications
How to Build Your Garden Railway (video) Sidestreet Bannerworks sidestreet.info
Garden Railroading: Getting Started in the Hobby Kalmbach Publishing Co

As for landscaping check out your grow zone chart to see what plants can grow like low ground cover, dawrf trees, etc..

Hi bluebonnet 71
Exactly my point had it been the smaller scales you would have rattled off twenty book titles and probably named six different magazines as well not to mention the three video tapes I have on my shelf.
and all for the small scales.
In large scale I count two magazines Not including the LGB one and I have two books 1U.S and 1U.K and one video not a lot when you think how popular the large scales are now.
Rene has some one looking into the plant issuie for me so I can compare the plants that show up in GR with a local Zone map which just like enineering standards is probably different to the US then find out if it will grow in my area next a talk to the nursery to make sure the APB hasn't declared it a noxious weed ect.
Enough whinging must go and deal with that depot paint job and make up my mind if it will have a tin roof.or not
regards John

That is true. About the magazines I also buy Model Railroader, Trains, Classic Trains just because I like to "get ideas".
So really no 1 magazine can get what I get every month shoved into my small gray matter for ideas later.
As a landscaper here a plant that is called a dandylion is a weed. Well let me clue ya in.
"Dandelions are a good example of food - medicine. Ever wonder why the earth is covered in dandelions. Well to start with, their leaves and roots are full of Potassium, Vitamin A and Calcium with lots of other minerals and vitamins as supporting nutrients and it is the most prescribed plant remedy through out global history. This plant is used as a vitamin mineral supplement, preventative remedy and curing remedy in chronic and degenerative conditions. The energy of Dandelion is drawn deep from with in the earth and will penetrate deeply into our being, giving us understanding of our deeper side. The sun extracted massage oil made of the yellow flower, has the ability to allow the muscular structure to relax, letting go of tension and will also influence the mental body, reducing stressful thought patterns. Dandelion also offers insight into cycles of season or life process. After the yellow flower, there comes the white fluffy puffball full of ripe seed, which explodes, letting go of pent up energy, planting new seeds to start the cycle again. The energy of the puff is letting go and the Dandy lion shows us how, surrendering as a breath of air. Dandy lion’s positive qualities are of a dynamic, effortless energy and lively activity, balanced with inner ease.
Those who appreciate the dandy * lion are those who feel a natural intensity and love for life.
And as I am a Native American Indian/White I learned this when I was with a Elder.
