A Question About Locos
Posted by Anonymous on Friday, July 9, 2004 10:01 PM
Being a newbie to g scale, just have a question about diesel locos. Does anyone know of a Baldwin RF-16 sharknose ever being produced? It would be real nice to see one of these wandering aroud my track. Would also like to try and repaint a Alco PA-1. Thanks for all you help.[:D]

No one has replied so heres the answer, NO.

No one has made a G sized Shark-nose, maybe sometime in the future but the manufactures are still only doing the most primary of engines in G. So far in Streamliner engines we've only gotten the most basic, the F series and Alco FA, now the PA series and hopefully next year the E-series. A Sharknose would seam to be a shortlist of new candidates also but at the rate new stuff gets released in G, its still a couple of years off.

   Have fun with your trains

Why anyone would want such a thing is beyond me, and that is what makes this hobby so interesting and the world i guess. Everyone has a slightly different view and in a free society we are all entitled to it.
