They cost $89.99, manufactured by LGB. They were a limited run of 500, and GR's first-ever piece of rolling stock.

Hey there,
If you are considering getting one I would bite the bullit and grab it. Very nice graphics. Then get Rene to autograph it and it will be worth millions one day! Just buggin' ya' Rene! [:D] I like mine very much. The choice is buy it now or pay more on ebay later. I'm not a collector but this piece is worth having! Later eh...Brian. [:)]

Brian, if I were to autograph it, the value would increase, hmm, two cents! [:D][:D]

Seriously, if anyone wants to have theirs autographed by Marc Horovitz or Pat Hayward, bring it to the national convention next month.

BTH: I forwarded your email to Eric Bergstrom, and he's going to email you an old newsletter that had a pic. Strangely, I could not find an online pic of it. If anyone else wants to see a pic, let me know. It's a green boxcar with white and yellow type, and a tuscan red roof and sides.
