The head is gray, hands don't work , back is weak, legs give out, eyes are gone, money go's and my wife still love's Me.
dwbeckett I Did alot of fine tuning to my track and ran 59 unit train, hopefully I will be abel to run my last train of the year on or near my birthday ,17 Nov, weather permiting I going to shoot for 66 unit train with 3 FA's or worst case 3-4 F3's. I also did some kit bashing of a station and row of store fronts, plan on more buildings over the rainy season AKA winter. Dave

Your birthday is is November too Dave! Mine is November 8th. - Peter
Welcome back!
I also run one of those summer time railroads. We're shutting down this week to move back down to the desert where its warm. It's really getting cold and nasty and yes the pine needles are a problem.
Rex
Thank you Sean!
I like Dave's signature line. Pretty much applies to me at my age of 67. I'm not sure if my wife loves me though as she's been a G Gauge Widow since 2005. LOL

Sounds like you have it all together Dave. Too bad the weather is going to shut you down for the winter. What I like about the Monterey area is that I can play with ---whoops----I mean operate my stuff all year round. I do have a friend that lives over the hill just a short leg from here though that also has to shut down for the rainy season. His layout is on a hill side under many many trees and he usually has nothing but pine needles all over his stuff this time of the year. I'd go dingy if I had to shut down for that long. Of course I'm already dingy anyway but that would be a higher state of being dingy. My railroad helps me keep whats left of my sanity. My only tree problem is a pesky apple tree that keeps coming back every year right in my layout no matter how many times I cut it down.
Dave has been a bussy boy! (Or the bridge man!)
Sean
Dave,
Good to hear from you.
Changes to my railroad? Well, I've had no locomotive fires or building fires of late. It's pretty much the same layout except now no one will bring their children over to see it. I've finally gotten to many wicked women doing business in broad daylight and houses of ill repute on it. Even have an outdoor porno movie studio operating there. The economy got so bad in my railroad town that vice seems to be almost the entire operating economy except for the Indian business enterprises and the farmers. The military has pulled out entirely.
How are things at your railroad?
Welcome Back Rudy, any changes to your RR?
Thanks Ray. Always a pleasure to see pictures of your great railroad.
Thank you!
Man, I spent so much time in the bulding and collecting stage back in 2005 that I never used most of the rolling stock that I bought. Like I went overboard like a kid in a candy store. I ended up selling a lot of it all on Craigslist. Sometimes I miss that stuff :>)
Welcome back, I am pretty new here, so you won't know me. My name is Peter and I am in the building and supply collecting stage of the Haymaker Railroad. Nice to meet you. - Peter
I've been gone for a while but I'm back. I hope to see lots of the old timers here that were here when I left.
