Aristocraft Steam locomotives...what's going on?

I'm not sure about the steam engines, but Aristocraft finally announced they will not produce the EMD SD-9 they announced about 3 years ago. I would have liked to have seen them come out with the cylinder hopper car they announced also, but no word yet if that was also cancelled.

Re-releasing the Pacific around the end of the year, Mallet also. No mention at all of the Mikado.

Consolidation now expected 1st quarter 2011, but bet on mid year.

The Connie was supposed to be released for the last 5 years running, I doubt we'll see it or anything new until the economy improves. Methinks the reason you not seeing any new product is due to the sour economy hitting that bottom line, most companies are in survival mode right now, just producing the basics and the best sellers. Dismals are cheaper to make and sell so thats likely where we will see the emphisis placed, new paint jobs on existing molds.

Bachmann is going to reissue 2 oldie but goldie models, the 2-6-0 Indy and the 2-4-2T Lyn, the Lyn hasnt been produced since the 90's. both are small and very affordable, says something about where the market is.

Hey everyone,

I was just wondering if anyone knew if Aristocraft was still producing the Mikado's and Re-Releasing the Pacific's. I was wondering because there is no word on the Aristocraft website or online anywhere at any retailers. Also are they still going  to be releasing the Consolidation? I keep on looking out for these all to be around and I see nothing.

If anyone has any idea or knows anything could you please tell me?
