Close coupling USA F-units?
Posted by noela on Tuesday, July 27, 2010 5:51 AM
Has anybody come up with a plan to close couple the beautiful USA Trains F-units? The beauty of these units are denigrated by the huge space between units when coupled together. I would be interested in a complete conversion, including application of Kadee couplers. Any direction and/or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I have used combination of off-set Kadees and Aristocraft, but currently using highly modified USAT on the front's and Kadee's on the backs and both ends of the B units, makes it alot easyer to seperate them.

I use Kadee #831 couplers on front and rear of my USAT F3 A & B units using the standard USAT mounting. My minimum curves are 10’ diameter.

Hope this helps; Rob
