Dealers for Gary Raymond wheels

Can anyone recommend some dealers of Gary Raymond wheels. The only one I know of is California Oregon Coast Railway but look what happens when you go to their website...

Might be an idea to contact them though. And get a list.

Gary has ads in GR, I've bought all of mine direct from him, nice guy to deal with I've found.

IRB, since Gary Raymond is a small operation, I'm not sure his products are available through many dealers. I would avoid Cailfornia & Oregon Coast, since the owner has seemingly vanished and the status of the company is unknown. At this point, it would probably be best to deal with Gary directly.

That's what I am currently doing. I've been talking to Gary over the last few days getting ready to order. I wish I could pay him through Paypal, though. It would make things a lot easier...

Yeah, I just got an email from him, guess he does not take that, so may do the credit card thing over the phone. I think he'd sell more stuff if he took Paypal. I told him I'd pay a little extra.

Just a quick note on California & Oregon Coast:

Stretch (owner) had to shut down the business for a while. He is still taking orders and producing the air operated stuff, but he's not running the business as a general railroad supply company is my understanding.

I know 2 well known people in the industry who have kept me informed and I got a shipment of EA-ZE Air switch motors a couple weeks ago.

So, right now, not the place to order GR wheels, but Stretch is "coming back" and I sure don't want to discourage people like me who depend on him for their air-operated components.

Stretch is a great guy and I've known him ever since I entered the hobby.

Regards, Greg

Greg,

So is "Stretch" the owner of California and Oregon Coast or RLD Hobbies?  I ordered pnematic stuff from RLD and thought that was Stretch.  Now I'm confused?

Robby L. Dascotte (RLD) owns RLD Hobbies and is acting as a dealer.

Stretch Manley is the "manufacturer", owns C&OCRR (California & Oregon Coast)   and EA-ZE Air (formerly called EZ-Air).

Sorry for the confusion.

Just got back from a trip and still no wheels...

I'm getting worried now:

  • sent check on July 9
  • Gary said he would check his PO box July 16
  • no response so I sent another email July 18
  • it is now July 25 and still nothing

GrumpyAngry

I am at the point that I want to cancel the order if possible (and buy the wheels you posted a link to). I know I'm dealing with snail-mail, but that should be no excuse.
