The teeth of the original rotating base[#282-88] were ground off. They do not make a replacement part and used are rare but they do make a #282-88B which must be modified. To modify I must cut plastic accurately and glue parts together involving shaft holes so job must be accurate. What can I use to cut this plastic? A good glue? Am I wasting my time ? The # 282 is perfect in every other way
