You want to contact Raymond Manley, the guru of MTH conversions.

He's done lots of conversions.

By the way, there is something wrong with your loco, the fact that the smoke output is low, and the sound gets lower in volume, means something is not right.

Many USAT Hudsons came with the TAS unit grounded to the body/frame of the loco, it needs to be insulated from the loco. This is a well-know assembly problem from USAT, and not the fault of the TAS people. This single thing could be your problem.

 Regards, Greg

Hello ,any body out there converted a usa hudson with mthdcs sound and smoke. theres one on youtube and its awesome.right now i have phoenix sound and the stock smoke unit from tas. the sound is ok ,but as i increase the voltage (track power) around 15 volts the sound lowers to the point you cant hear it. I' m not real happy with the smoke unit low volume in tell about 20 volts. After seeing the youtube video , time to convert!  thanks.
