Sign - Welcome My first post and kitbash, a Vertical Boiler Engine named Brutus, still awaiting detailing and weathering.

It's really just a AA Battery Criter, made of stuff lying around. Ok, so I built the engine out of a toy ATV motor, a HLW gondola, and an aspirin bottle. Enjoy.

Currently a HLW mini series car can be hooked underneath the loco, but eventually it will have a dedicated trailer that is connected permanently. (Maye an auxillary water tank from one of the older GRW articles?) Mischief

Thanks everybody for taking an interest in the loco.

Welcome! (I would have the welcome banner up, but my computer is playing dumb, and won't display the window) I must say, that looks great. Are you sure this is your first kitbash? (or should that be scratch-built engine on a railcar?) One last question: Would it be O.K. if I play "copycat" and try to build a simaler engine? I have a flatcar I started to scratchbuild, but the wood plank deck ended when I ran out of wood (and it has been sitting there, 1/2 finnished). I figure I could build a locomotive with it, but I didn't have an engine plan for it. I will use yout idea for using the asprine bottle for the boiler, but I may try it horozontaly (as to try to replicate a "homegrown" logging locomotive). Keep up the good work, and again, Welcome.
