Hi I would use the Bachmann style the Kandee tend to catch track magnets if you are useing reed switches to trigger sounds installed in a loco tender when they pass over magnets the train uncouples

The head is gray, hands don't work , back is weak, legs give out, eyes are gone, money go's and my wife still love's Me.
Do you mount the magnets above the rail heads?
On body mounts, the couplers are very solid, and the kadee spec says put the uncoupling pin 1/8" above the rail head.
On truck mounts, it can be problematic, since the coupler tang can deflect down under tension, especially with sprung trucks.
I put a 45 degree or more bevel on the leading and trailing edges of magnets, helps a lot.

You can also remove the un-coulpling pin if don't plan on doing any and try to use the same size ( scale ) G or #one . This is because with mixed size's they tend to uncouple on rough track. By the way I have broken 2 Kadee's in half before removing the un-coupling pin.
Hi Greg I use the LGB magnets for working my reed switches On my locos sound in tender (phoenix)
