Two good sources for strip wood: Any craft supply store, package of 200(?) approx. 1/64" x 3/8" x 5" for around $1.00 or so. Second option, grocery store, coffee section, wooden coffee stirrers, 500 (?) (Smaller than above but longer) for about $2.50.

Scribed wood, several vendors advertise in the magazine. All provide a web address.
