Can I use USA Trains freight car trucks on an Aristo-Craft box car?

I do not suffer from insanity...I enjoy every minute of it!!!      Over 60 and still playing with toys!

Yes--I've done it several times, it works fine.

Also, I replace Aristo plastic wheels with USA steel wheels.

 Have fun, Rob

Last week I got an Aristo “Evans 53’ box car” at a price I couldn’t refuse. When I proceeded to change out the plastic wheels I found USAT metal wheels won’t fit in the Aristo “Roller Bearing” truck side frames due to a hip on the outside of the USAT wheel axles.

There are several listings for metal wheels in the Aristo parts catalog. Being a weekend I called St Aubin Trains in Las Vegas with my dilemma. They suggested Aristo wheels, ART29111B, should work. I received my order yesterday, and the new car is operating today, Thanksgiving Day.

Happy Thanksgiving, Rob

Don't you mean "ART29111D" ? That's what I used on the 53'ers

Hi Sean; I had thought the same as you reading the Aristo catalog, but the people at St Aubin, Las Vegas said ART29111B wheels would work and they’re cheaper. They seem to be working ok on my WP 53 footer.
