30 degree crossing
Posted by trailsidedreamer on Saturday, August 22, 2009 3:21 PM

just throught I would try something new this morning and add a 30 degree crossing to my layout.  After getting everything in place I realized that the crossing doesn't have clearance for the wheel flanges in the very center.  And of course if it looks wrong it probably is - can't keep a train from derailing across it.  What am I overlooking?  something simple perhaps?

thanks

Is the crossing of the same size rail as the rest or are you putting a code 225 crossing in with 322 track?   is the brand of crossing different from the brand of track?   Otherwise, you just might need to take your dremel and grind out the flangeways a bit more!

oh, I get it, not sure, I've got code 332 Aristocraft track and this is an Aristocraft crossing (11300-01).  Does that ring any bells?  I can sure do the Dremel thing if thats expected.

thanks
