Thanks for the pics! I'm looking forward to seeing the new depot in person at the annual picnic next month. I hope your wife is doing well.

Dug up some older pix on one of the days the trolley was running.

Next trip I'll try to remember to take the video camera

Thanks for the photos and the links, Tom. And please accept some heartfelt well-wishes for your mate.

So Tom will you be building some motive power for this odd sized 1:1 ?? Just kidding, nice shots of some building projects. Dave

No motive power, but plan to reproduce the depot in a roughly 1:24 (and I do mean very roughly). Somewhere on this hard drive I have some older pix of the streetcar and steam engine. I'll put them up when I find where I stashed them. I'll also post a few construction update photos about every 3 weeks. The only time I can get there is when she is asleep in the chemo treatment bed.

Building a NEW 1880's Depot.

In "Old Town" Poway, Ca there is a little park with a 42 inch narrow gauge operated by Poway Midland RR Volunteers. They have begun construction of an "old time" depot. Here is the link to the article in the San Diego Union Tribune.

Here is the link to their web site.

While the wife was at her chemo treatment in Rancho Bernardo, I drove the 3(?) miles over to the park and took a few pix.

A few more are here.
