Hi,

There is no pivot point/hinge.  Both of the switching rails "bend" about 3/16" to either open or close the switch.  If you re-read the article he does mention the issue.

Hi,

Is there something I have missed, but after looking at Steve Monson's artical on constructing your own turnouts and printing out the plans,I don't seem to be able to see where the point/closure rails pivot.

Can anyone enlighten me please
