Dave, Glroy is a lot closer but I have to say it isn't that well stocked. I love to just walk the aisles and even though I say I won't buy much, I come away with a bunch of stuff

THe closest hobby shop that would have anything for me is probably up around Atlanta. I ain't goin to Atlanta. Macon is too big for me much less Atlanta...that's why we moved from Macon. I found one though, thanks to SoCalJimH. ...and for less than what Wholesale trains had it for. Thanks Jim!

My nearest hobby shop that deals in or even knows what G Gauge is, is up in Gilroy around 40 minutes from here when the highway 101 Prundale corridor isn't jammed. Went up there saturday for the first time and spent some money and met the owners. 40 minutes up and 1 and a half hours coming back.
We went up there to get the tour book for the Morgan Hill, Gilroy, Hollister and Prundale open house of 11 garden railroads on Aug. 15. Wish there were even five garden railroads in this area.

Yep, when you see a bargain and dilly-dally you're likely to lose out. How many did they have on hand to offer at that price? Maybe only one. You never know.

Yeah. I'm REALLY mad. About a week ago, I went to Wholesaletrains.com and the Bachmann 2 8 0 was 269 bucks. I thought "ok, maybe in like two weeks." Dammit all, I went on there today and they are 419. DAMMIT.
